Someone just emailed me a story which circulated on the internet a few years ago. It’s very timely because of what is going on in the media and the world today.
It’s about how bad they think things are in the world today. You know, one of those polls that you see hundreds of each day.
I try to maintain an opposite viewpoint – that it’s always good to remember where we are in our business and our lives and to appreciate what we have. And how much control we have over our own businesses and personal destinies.
We all have been sailing through storms before and still manage to get out. Now is the time to FEEL your power to control your own future and not let the Chicken Littles of the world tell you otherwise.
Right now is the perfect time to try new things. You can use this opportunity to market your business by providing SOLUTIONS for your customers. Ask yourself :
How can I capitalize on what is going on in my business?
What can I do that makes me stand out that people will spend money with me?
What makes us the perfect solution for our customers over our competition?
Am I grateful for what I have?
Am I blaming something or someone else?
You, and you alone are the one that creates your thoughts, your life, and future with your own thoughts.
Let’s reflect on our current situation:
Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?
Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than some countries have seen in the last year?
I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.
Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help.
Isn’t it nice to know that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames, thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.
Or if, while at home watching one of many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend us against attack or loss.
All I am saying is be careful where you get your news from and avoid an overwhelming amount of negativity. Being polluted with such negativity isn’t good for you or your business.
Be aware of what we do have and all the positive things in our business and our lives. Be grateful.
Wishing you the Best Year Ever for you and your business!
